How to join Aurobindo Ashram

When you join the Sri Aurobindo Society, you’re making a promise to yourself.

  • As a member, you will be able to get periodic updates on our progress as well as access to all of the publications and member-only communications.
  • Whoever signs up for this service will get their choice of either the weekly newspaper, The Hindu, or our monthly magazine, All India Magazine, sent to their home.
  • Becoming a member of the Society is just the beginning. At first, it’s recommended that members follow the basic curriculum.
  • Set aside time each day to read something from Sri Aurobindo as well as the Mother’s works, and focus on what comes up for you in your inner inquiry.
  • Take some time alone each day to reflect on life and ask, “Why am I here?” When I ask myself, “What is it that I want out of life?” you have to think about your goals.
  • Give one hour a day to the Society’s cause, without expecting anything in return.

To join the SAS, submit an application either electronically or by mail. They ask for your patience as they need up to 15 days to fulfill your request. Please contact them at membership@aurosociety.org if you have not received your membership card after 20 days, or if you have any other questions about your membership.
