Art of Living community thanks everyone for their visit. The Sanskrit word shram means “effort,” while the word ashram describes a location where life flows without any difficulty.
In this ashram, they have only one rule: bring all your problems and worries with you, but leave them here.
Ashram is a sanctuary that fortifies its residents so that they can take on the extraordinary challenges of everyday life.
Bangalore Ashram, home to the Art of Living International, was established in 1986 21 kilometers south of Bengaluru in suburban Karnataka, southern India. This ashram exemplifies the ideals of Art of Living by fusing ancient and modern practices.
In addition to weekly meditative walks and exploration of the ashram, residents have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of residential courses, from an introduction to the internationally acclaimed Sudarshan Kriya to an in-depth exploration of one’s own inner world in the Advanced Course.
Of course, you can’t miss the charged evening Satsang, which has changed the way most young people think about satsang by bringing them together to sing, dance, and meditation to songs honoring a wide variety of deities and oddities.
Try your hand at the ashram’s Seva (volunteer labour), from preparing and serving meals to sweeping and scrubbing the floors, and feel the pride that comes from caring for the place we call home.
